In this post I am going to show you how to root your Prestigio Multipad 7 Pro DUO using a Root software through your computer. Before we begin, please note that there is a possiblity that if you screw up, you may brick your device so please do this carefully.
Rooting voids your warranty, if you need it then you should not root your device!
I will not be held responsible for any damages and loss of data caused by following my guide, please always have backups of your stuff and follow instructions carefully to be succesfull.
- A Windows PC
- Moborobo program
- UnlockRoot program
Downloads:Tools.zip - Contains Moborobo software install program and UnlockRoot software install program.
Step 1 - Preparation:
Next thing you need to do is, you need to make sure that you have USB Debugging enabled on your Prestigio tablet.
You can do that by simply going to Settings -> Developer options - You should see USB debugging as the first option, so make sure to enable it.
Now again, go to your Settings but this time go to Security and scroll down a bit until you see the option Unknown sources - Be sure to have it enabled, it usualy comes enabled by default when you buy your tablet.
Now you are prepared, connect your tablet to your computer with your USB cable while it is powered on (do not start the usb mass storage, just have it connected).
Now move on to step 2.
Step 2 - Drivers
So here come the scary parts, but don't worry if you do everything right you will definitely succeed and will enjoy your rooted device.
While having your tablet connected, install the Moborobo software to your computer. During the installation, it should eventually detect your device and install the proper adb drivers. If you are a Windows XP user and you get some kind of error or warning, click "Continue Anyway".
Now you have the proper drivers installed and you are almost done.
Step 3 - Rooting
Now you can install the UnlockRoot program and once it is done installing, start the program. Keep in mind that you still need to keep your tablet connected to your computer.
After you start the program, you should see a small window with your device model name and stuff like that.
On the left side, you see the huge button that says Root.
Click it, wait a few seconds and it should tell you that you have completed the process.
You might be asked to reboot the device, so do it and enjoy your rooted PMP5570C guys and girls, that was all you had to do.
